Python Job: Technology Specialist

Framestore Melbourne is looking for a Technology Coordinator who will work closely with colleagues in pipeline, systems, software and production. This role will provide organisational support for Framestore's Melbourne team and will report to the Melbourne Head of Pipeline.

The Technology Coordinator is responsible for supporting the productive efforts of the development and support teams through facilitating continuous improvement, removing impediments and guiding the team through commitments using agile/lean principles and values as well as utilizing scrum techniques where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Pipeline TDs to track and manage the Development and Support of our tools

• Maintains a strong and aligned relationship with key stakeholders and project leads (Supervisors, Leads, and Producers) ensuring that priorities are well defined to ensure team success

• Manages the Service Desk ticket queues, delegation, workloads, response times, etc

• Ensures support tickets contain the information necessary to be completed quickly and efficiently

• Ensures development work is well defined with clear, objective and actionable goals

• Monitors team activities and guides team towards meeting commitments

• Shields the team from external interferences that can jeopardize agreed goals

• Provides weekly progress reports and updates to the division leadership team and stakeholders

• Applies agile principles, values, and techniques by fostering deeper understanding of agile roles and responsibilities

• Helps maintain a positive work environment by having a proactive attitude focused on collaboration with all team members

• Accountable for continuous improvement, self-organization and high performance

• Previous experience in the visualisation, games, VFX or software industries

• Previous experience as a coordinator or similar role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and handle complex issues and relationships

• Able to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to leverage technical tools to scale programs and solutions

Desirable Skills

• Experience delivering highly scalable and robust systems, complex technical products or services in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies

• Knowledge of Jira & Confluence

• Knowledge of Python a plus
